About Taggart Law, P.C.
Taggart Law, P.C. was founded by Sarah Taggart in 2006 with a singular focus: representing Alabama landlords.
Over nearly two decades, Sarah built a statewide reputation for precision, preparation, and results, filing tens of thousands of eviction actions and becoming a recognized authority in Alabama landlord tenant law. What began as a disciplined, founder led practice strategically expanded in April 2024 to include additional litigation and creditor side depth, strengthening the firm’s statewide reach.
Today, Taggart Law, P.C. represents landlords, housing providers, and investors across Alabama in eviction litigation, collections, bankruptcy, and complex real estate disputes.
- We know the law.
- We keep landlords sharp.
- We litigate when it counts.
When I started Sarah Taggart, P.C., I was not handed a single eviction file. I was a solo practitioner with no clients, no roadmap for running a business, and a healthy amount of determination. I filed my very first eviction for $75. At the time, that $75 paid my office phone bill for the month, and that felt like a win. From there, it was what most startups look like in the early days. Quick decisions, long hours, and a lot of instinct. I learned by doing. I adjusted constantly. And I made a quiet commitment that every client who trusted me would feel like they were the only client I had. Year over year, that approach worked. The firm grew. The work expanded across Alabama. I had the opportunity to work with some exceptional clients and build something that, over time, became more than just a law practice. I have often said, only half joking, that this firm is my firstborn child. It has required that level of attention, investment, and care.

Extremely happy with the help Sarah Taggart provided with a recent eviction we needed help with. All questions (many) were answered quickly and with patience, and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this law firm!Posted on suzystephensTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a landlord, I recently had an issue with a tenant threatening to remain in the property after I declined to renew the lease. I was afraid I would have to start eviction proceedings, but after a consultation, Sarah Taggart's team evaluated my lease and were able to serve a letter to the tenant that convinced them it would be best if they left on the last day of the lease instead of remaining longer. This saved me money and time. I appreciated their excellent work and would recommend them to any landlord.Posted on Chris CTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly knowledgeable. Answered many of my questions and concerns.Posted on Austill HumeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently participated in a 30 minute consultation with Holly Ray, one of the attorneys at the Sarah Taggart Law Firm. We found her to be very informed and easy to talk to about our situation. We could not have asked for a better experience starting "out the gate" to legally resolve our issues. As an HOA, we have very little time to handle matters of a legal nature, and Holly makes the process steps easier to understand.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
